Ex- Physician Faces Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former doctor stands accused of performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
