Details of the Serious Charges

A senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
